I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

After a slight incident with my GS falling on a wall after the throttle grip snapping clean off whilst I was moving it to go out on it, I am now in need of a repaint...............so may as well do the whole bike, can anyone point me twards the correct color codes and decal set, I can post pics of the bike as it is or look for the GS750 in the UK resto thread, I'd like it as near as OE, Thanks

Thanks for that sealpup, but mine is a 78 US spec EC as below,

Which has black and gold pinstriping on the tank and rear cowl and I can't find any images that match the design, I can find 79 models in black with the same design, but the pinstriping is in a different colour.

I really want it to be correct for the year if I am doing it, I just cannot find a red ( I think it should be more orange than it is now ) '78 GS with black and gold detail in my design !
The orange and gold set is for a 77, has anyone got any brochure pics for my bike, I am leaning towards it being incorrect ( painted in 79 spec ) or and early 79 spec bike.
I just think when they're right.......well they're right !

Thanks for that Vmass and Hampshire dog I think I can say my bike is in a 79 scheme like this one , but obviously the pinstripes are different colours,

So I thought I'd nailed it, then I found this, which shows two 78 models with different decals, one the same as the 79 ad above..............

I think it will be a case of just picking what I like and what looks correct, but I am tempted, as I have got to do the whole bike, to doing it metallic blue and picking some decals that go with that, whether they're the right year or not.

We'll see.

I contacted Diablo about correct pinstripes for the blue 79 850 (since they only had the red version)... they responded quickly, and were totally willing to run up a set, subject to getting a 1-2 inch sample of the original stripes and some photos of the bike. Cost was similar to their in-stock bikes. Haven't painted yet, but they were good to talk to.
