A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

I know the dark red paint for a gs1100e is almost identical to Chrysler Inferno Red, is there a close automotive match for the Dark Blue that the 83's (and probably other years)? Thanks!

2004 Honda Pilot midnight blue pearl B518P is very good. Chuck Hahn helped me out with it and said color-wise it's >99%, the pearl is not the same, and it's a base/clear. For me it was perfectly fine though.

My paint guy found a Chrysler color, several yrs. back, not sure of yr. or color name. It is a very close match, Looks exact except in bright sun you can see the Suzuki color has a slight purple tint in the blue metallic and the Chrysler color has no purple tint. Maybe not as close as what Chuck & Tom found but I's completely satisfied.

I didn't know that about the Suzuki color. I didn't inspect it close enough in the sunlight, I suppose. From an angle, you can see just a hint of purple in the Honda color, so that's good info.

I did some Googling and i think it may be Suzuki Sardinia dark blue #13N and it looks like a couple companies carry rattle cans as well as the enamels. Does this sound right?

I've researched and found starry blue and space blue, but maybe one or the other is the lighter color on the ES blue and white model. There are threads on this forum about the topic that may help. I think all those codes are obsolete. I bought some paint from the UK that was supposed to match my '73 Honda CB750's flake sunrise orange, and it was way off.

Just for kicks looked on SuzukiPartsNation, it shows 2 blue's, Candy Florida Blue & Starry Blue Metallic for the ED and Space Blue Metallic for the ESD

Was that honda paint from VMR? Ive been eyeballing that color for my CB500and CB550
Yes, it was. They sent it in a gigantic yellow plastic tub with a metal ring with a clamp sealing the top. It was probably a 25-gallon container. Weird. A complete waste of money, about $250. Not even close, nearer to red than orange.
