    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Decal sizing help please.

Could anyone please tell me the dimensions of the "Suzuki" decal for the tank on the 82 Katanas?

I got decals from E-bay, as mentioned, but they are the wrong colour and too large for the tank so I will need to get them cut locally after all.

If I can get the height and width of a single letter I can provide that with the set I have to the printer for scanning and resizing.

As always, any help is appreciated.

You should be able to order them direct from Suzuki. I just got a pair for a restoration on an 83 last week. Suzuki part #68111-33200-05F $9.57 a piece. Thats for the tank (Suzuki) decal.
The Katana emblem is part#68131-34320-L96. Suzuki even has the stickers for the choke, on and off still available.
 
Thanks but that is not what I am after. I need them in silver, the stockers are that gawd aweful tomato red. The idiot e-bayer accepted the order for silver, confirmed it and then sent me black.

I'll just guestimate or if too pricey leave them off altogether.

I'll get you the dimensions, post them tonight.
 
I'm sure if you contact Reproduction Decals they will be more than happy to make you a set of tank decals in silver if you have trouble sourcing them.
 
Thanks guys. Sourcing is not a problem as they can be made locally I just need the sizing. The ones he sent me are likely 3/16" too big all the way around the individual letter.

I appreciate all help.

Ok, the letters are 42mm high.
The "S","U","Z" letters are 49mm wide
The "K" is 52.50mm wide
The "I" is 16mm wide
Spacing between the letters is 2.20mm
Total length of "suzuki" is 279mm
