    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Drilled exhaust

Not really an appearence mod, more for sound. To make my exhaust a little louder i drilled (3) 1/4" holes in each pipe. Sounds much better at low rpms but you cant tell the difference when the bike is screaming (wich is what i wanted). I was afraid it would look horrible, but after sanding out the burrs and hitting it with a little paint you wouldnt notice unless you were looking for it.

Anyway, low cost way of making your exhaust sound a little deeper :D

Im glad you like the new sound. Would be a host of work to fill and grind all those holes if it sounded crap. Have you heard of SUPERTRAPP? Lots of fiddly little allen head bolts and adjustale plates mean you can go from totally uncorked to battery operated with a whizz on your power drill...

Uncorked it shoots flames out the end of the pipe on the overrun

Not really intrested in shooting out flames. :lol:

Ive heard of car guys running a spark plug into thier exhaust and wiriring it to a switch. Have the car run rich and hit the switch for flames. Im assuming that was what the suggestion was or does a completely uncorcked exhaust shoot flames?

Dunno, if it goes onto my bike then it either has to weigh less or make more power, so no extras or toys for looks. With the rings and end cap on then no flaming but, sure any unburn fuel in the system is going to ignite in the right conditions... My van does the same thing, but as I cannot see the exhaust and I have to accept other people's word for it..

You also have to have a coil before the spark plug. And a relay, so that when you hit the switch it diverts the electricity from the ignition coil to the exhaust coil. I'm told not doing it that way can cause the muffler to explode like a hand grenade. I have a kit I bought from ebay I never used. Maybe one of these days I will.
