Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Anyone have any experience using them? Comments appreciated...reasonable pricing it seems. Thinking of trying a set.
Thanks!

Tony.

I've got a full set of them on my 700. Make sure you've got your jetting set correctly before you buy them. They're good quality and look, and a great price, but they are hardly restrictive. If you're going to get them, make sure your bike will run properly with no filtration at all, cause all the EMGO filters do is filter the air, they don't provide restriction, so you'll run a lot richer with K&N pods or stock air box then you will with the EMGOs

They're great filters for the money, but yeah, you need to make sure your bike is properly jetted when you switch to them. It'd be real easy to burn up a piston running lean.

I think it cost me $40 to get 4 pods for my bike. I've been using them for 2 years now. I may toss them in the dishwasher for a cleaning. :)

careful AOD, I emailed EMGO, and their filters have a paper element, they'd disentagrate in the dishwasher :D

Thanks guys,
To be honest, I am pretty satisfied with my bikes performance w/the stock airbox....starts, idles & runs with no flat spots etc.. I'm pretty sure the pods, done right, would enhance the top-end, but with my conservative riding style, its probably not worth the jetting hassle.

Howeverrrrr, whats a guy to do........

:D  ....at this price, I am tempted ........I suspect by the 'cool factor' more than anything else!

I have the filters they are a little louder you hear the intake deep waaaaa sound. They are easy to install and you rid of all that airbox junk. The carbs are much easier to work with when you don't have all that junk to take off and put back on. I can take my carbs off now in about 5 minutes( working at slow normal speed) Having just gone through the stage 3 process I am very happy and I only have a needle or two position to play with now.

If you do the Dynojet stage 3 you only have to adjust the needle height and you can do that with just the tank off and a long screw driver.I use a set of needle nose pliers from a hobby kit to undo the nap ring.

They do look good.

I put a stock set of carbs and they started OK but ran like sh_ _ after I accelerated past 3K rpm.

Looking at the other side with a diminishing flat spot ( 2 last needle positions to test)I think its the only way to go.

Hmmn...I see no paper in my Emgo's, they're a metal mesh material. That's why they don't require any oiling like K&N's.

I have emgo's and am satisfied.still working on adjustment but overall I can't justify paying the additional money for K&N"s .Right now i have only one cylinder still running too rich which I think I have corrected with last
adjustment

jetting recommendation

jetting recommendation

I'm just about ready to get my Wes Cooley replica running. It's got CV carbs from an 1100 I think, and I've got a set of Emgos on the way. Can anyone give me a recommendation on what might be a good set of jets to start with?
