DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I need new float needle valves and seats. Local shop wants $52 x 4 for OEM. Two of them are leaking but I figure I will just do them all while I got it apart. But $200 is not what I had in mind. So is there a good OEM source for cheeper or are people using chinese replacements?

Why do you need new seats? Check the washers and needles for failure. You can get replacement needles for much less than OEM sets. The seats do pair with the needles, but I have done fine with just swapping needles.

Or buy a rack of VMs off ebay and raid them for needles/seats. A cruddy rack might be $50-75.

Not OEM but working ok for me

Don't know where these come from but I put a set of 4 of these on and haven't had any problems z1 part SIKYV-03020

OK I will order the 6 set from Z1. I am placing an order anyway.

Where the heck are you shopping?

Modern, the local Suzuki shop. They tried to charge me $14/ea for valve shims as well. I never had much luck with local motorcycle shops I would love to support them more. Even Lordco (our big parts retailer) tried to charge me $100 for the K&N replacement filter. I got them down to $67 but I see them online for $45. I am sure the the cost of doing business in this City (Vancouver BC) is crazy but I am not sure how they can sell anything with those mark-ups.

Wrong set

Z1 does have new needles for $25

Why wrong? Compared to the OEM set I had, the seat with needle valve is the same height.

They're listed a early Z1, not the same as your set

Glad you made them work, maybe I'll try some
