DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

fuel dry up in carbs

Recently started having problems with fuel drying up in my 1100EZ carbs causing it's throttle cable to get stuck. Could the fuel in the carbs dry up because I didn't allow my bike to cool down before putting on the bike's storage cover or could it be because of the quality of the fuel? Didn't have this issue when wasn't using a bike storage cover and the bike was left to cool off naturally.

Covers make everything rust. Are you parking it out under the downspouts or something?

I park my bike under my verandah, but the problem lies with cats ****ing on the tires, exhaust system etc, causing rust. That's why the covers.

Had the same problem with a neighborhood cat. My bike sat in an open shed for 20 years and when I pulled it out it had been a spray station for years. The culprit came around one day while I was in the house to get a coffee and sprayed all over the rear hub that I had just polished. I ended up making a 3/8" plywood 3 sided box about 2' high with hinged ends that would fold back when not in use to protect the bike. I tried the cover but the cat sprayed all over it too. I just park the bike beside the house and put the plywood around it. It ended the cat problem. Once a cat marks it's territory it is really hard to get rid of the smell and it becomes a magnet for other cats.

probably having a dog may solve this problem, but dogs mark their territory too.....
