I have an 83 gs750ED with 33200 miles. the bike was in pieces when I got it. It had been in storage for several years. I went throught the carbs and got the bike running, runs good and pulls hard. Problem is that it leaks a small amount of fuel out of the airbox, obviously it is coming from the exhaust vent on the top of the engine.
1)I know that the petcock needs rebuilt.
2) I also changed the oil and filter.. would too much oil cause this???
3)I have also adjusted the float levels in .5mm increments from 19.5mm up to 23.5mm, the drip occurs at all settings. I resett them to the factory suggested setting of 22.4mm and get good low mid and high range engine response but can't get rid of the fuel drip.
I am out of ideas.
Would a bad petcock cause this???
Would too much oil cause this???
I am looking for any suggestions from the experts. I don't know if I can handle pulling the carbs off again... I don't have much skin left on the back of my hand from working on the engine while warm
Help!!!!!
