I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I just won this fairing on ebay. now I hope I can make it fit on my '80 GS1100E. It has the mounting hardware on it and the seller says all that is needed in some hoseclamps to attach it. I'm assuming that it is universal like my windshield. Any advice would be welcome.

I gotta say that's the first fairing I've seen with a rectangle headlight opening. Please, Please let me know if it doesn't fit.

I got it yesterday! I haven't taken it to the bike to check the fit but it looks like it may be an exact fit. I might do that tomorrow. I might need to modify the mounts, maybe. The only thing I'm worried about is the fit around the speedo/tach.
It appears that all I'll need is 4 radiator clamps to mount it to the shocks.

I cost as much as the price to ship it. I'm very pleased so far.

Looks like it's gonna fit! :D I'm going to replace all the nuts and bolts with new stainless steel hardware and clean up the mounting brackets. So it will go on during the spring tune up and handlebar change.

Pictures, Please.

Here are the pictures I promised of the new Superbike bars and the 1984 Vetter Sting fairing. I found a jpg of the sting owners manual on the web. That's how I know the year. It fit perfect, took me 1.5 hours to do the bars and the fairing. All I did was buy new nuts and bolts for the fairing. Now if I could only ride it. Maybe tomorrow, the weather guessers are saying dry and 58 tomorrow afternoon.

Notice the new saddle bags from my wife.
When the weather clears I'll get a new picture for the gallery.

Hey Chuck,
looks great, that was a great find.
Are you plannng to paint or keep the sort of " street fighter " look. If you keep it black, an angular chin (or? "belly") faring in black would really set it off.
Once again, looks great, good luck with the weather gods.
