A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

hi, can anyone tell me if the fittings on a set of GS 750EZ gauges, purchased in the Uk would be different to a set from the states, im restoring a 750EZ which is an American import, and ive purchased a set of Gauges from the UK and the Connections are the wrong way round, compared to the ones on the bike, the plastic spade type fittings do not match up. do I need to purchase a set of gauges from the USA. also the wires are a different color, any advice would be appreciated.
thanks.

what about using your old gauges to figure out what wire does what, and then clipping and then crimping new connectors on your wires to match the new gauges? might take a little work, but it could save you from having to swap gauges again.

hi airbornespud, ive thought about that the problem is the gauges fitted to the bike are not from that model, and are knackered. so im unsure, I think I might have to find a US gauge cluster, and sell on this one, I thought a set of gauges for this model would be the same, UK or USA, seems not. I may be able to find a replacement one from the US.
thanks for your advice.

hi airbornespud, i think I may have cracked it, changed the nine pin connector from new clocks, and replaced it with the six pin from old clocks, and joined up the other wires with new connectors, had to open the new clocks harness, seems that some of the wires from nine pin connector change inside the harness and double up before they reach the clocks. it seemed a bit confusing till you open up the sheathing. ill keep my fingers crossed everything works.
regards paul
