I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

I have just ordered and received a new starter clutch repair kit for my Suzuki GS1000E 1980. When I measure the new cylinderical rollers they are 1mm bigger in diameter compared to my old rollers. I have been in contact with the seller and he says that according to the data sheets all the GS range use the same starter repair kit, what are your thoughts guys!!!

man...in the states the springs/rollers/plungers/bolts are all the same i know for sure on 750-1150 bikes.

Just measured 3 sets of rollers, all 15mm diameter. Maybe they are bigger to compensate for a bit of wear on the centre boss:confused:. Part no 09261-15001.

Just measured the ones that I have taken out and they are 14mm and the new ones supplied are 15mm. Is it possible for them to wear down 1mm in diameter!!

Thought I would just assemble the starter clutch on the floor to see the fit of the new rollers and yep they are too big, they don't fit in position, looks like it has to go back together with the original rollers

Dave, looking at the picture now i am at home, i was on my phone at work before, small screen:(. That clutch hub is not correct, it must be off another bike. I have the correct one to solve the problem, it just needs a repair kit which you have then your good to go :D.
Dennis.

My gosh, I don,t know where that starter clutch hub has come from. I have had the bike 30 years and it has not been changed.
