DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

For my GSX750E (GS750E) 1981 model.

Can I change to another type of airfilter without rejetting? I want to get rid of the giant airfilter box and change to 4 smaller. One on each carb.

Is there any filters out there that I can use? My exhaust is original...

Reason. My connections on the airfilter box is damaged, and I cant find replacement.

If you go pods, you will more than likely need to rejet.....

.

If I go for one type of pods, is there any standard size jets I can use... I hate working with carbs :-)

It is the whole airbox conneting to the carb. It is U shaped. So Carb 2-3 cant connect properly. Tried warming it and bend it back to shape, but no use.

Using pod filters means rejetting the carbs

Are you saying the tubes between the airbox and the carbs are bad?

Are those NLA for this model?

I think he means that the airbox itself is warped and the middle two boots won't seat. This happens sometimes on the 16V models.

If you have a heat gun, you can often carefully warm up this area of the plastic airbox until it's slightly soft and push it back into shape. Be patient and keep the heat moving so you don't melt anything...

Or, see if you can still get a new airbox from Suzuki. Some are still available and don't cost too terribly much.

Yes, you MUST rejet when you switch to pods.

That is correct. It is warped. I will try with a heat gun. I only tried with a hairdryer the first time.

But if I change to pods. Is there a specific jet size I can use?

If you search, I'm sure you will find some baseline ideas of what other people are using to get close, but for the most part, jetting is a very trial-and-error process if you want to get it spot on.
