A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Is The Digi Sync a good vacuum gauge?

I think my carbs should be synched, and I need to replace the o-rings soon (been putting it off because of the time it takes to POR-15 the gas tank).

I like this one because it is digital, so no worry about vibrations, and it uses a battery, so no problem with wires.

I also imagine it is a lot easier to read a digital display than bouncy gauges. They claim its more accurate than other ones, not sure if that is true though.

Has anyone used it? Or can recommend something similar?

I was thinking of getting the 6 channel one, I realize mine only has 4, but maybe I buy something else in the future.

Any set of gauges can, & will, get out of sync. Carb. sticks will always be accurate. Biggest problem with Carb. sticks is storing them & the mercury they use. Just my opinion.

I would recommend a Carbtune Pro from carbtune.com.

About half the price and no batteries.

Not much “bouncing” to worry about.

.

I'm not aware of any sync tool that uses wires.

Bouncing is a result of no restrictors in the lines

+1 on the Morgan Carbtune

Hey, has anyone mentioned the Carbtune yet...?

Seriously, half the cost of that digital one and it works like a dream forever with no batteries.

https://www.carbtune.com/

It's a British company and they ship worldwide.

I can also endorse the carbtune. Just want the metal adapters not the plastic ones.

Hmm I think the one you want is the Morgan Carbtune. Not sure if anyone has told you about that yet.... ???? are cheap at the moment in $$$$ so an ideal time to buy. The only bummer is the mail is a bit messed up in both countries so you might have an extra wait... :)

The only think I would add to the Carbtune kit is a set of brass adapters for connecting them. I really don't like the Nylon ones they supply with them as they go a bit soft when they get hot...

Quick search... I am sure there are many other sources if Motion Pro makes them :) They are just a thick walled brass tube with a thread cut on the outside & an O ring.. Not hard to make if you can find the tube stock but likely not worth it at these prices!
