Leaky Tubeless Tire Valve Stem

Just an fyi for anyone looking this up in the future:

My rear tire has had a slow leak for some time now and I finally got around to checking it out. After spraying around with a squirt bottle full of soapy water, the leak was found coming around the base of the valve stem. It's one of those stems that you torque down with a nut so I loosened it up, pushed it into the wheel a bit, squirted a little soapy water in around the base to lube it up for a better seal, and then torqued it back down. Problem solved for now at least. Next time, be sure to replace the valve when you replace the tire

I agree best to have a new one but but depends on how many tires you go through. About every other tire is about right if you ride regular. If you change tires every 3 years then yes, spring for a new valve stem everytime
