A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Now that the bike charges...:D My wife (on her Seca II) ,daughter and I (on my GS700ES)went for a ride. It was around 50degrees , but hey we dressed warm. Ran to the store, then decided to stop for some pizza. Probably around 10 miles total but it's my daughters longest ride so far, she loves it. Glad to have a hobby we can all enjoy. Was down to 43 when we got home so it was a little chilly, but at least there wasn't any snow like a couple days ago:p

Congrats.

You have to start somewhere. :D

I have only done four rides so far this year that were over 300 miles in the same day. 307, 330, 338 and 388 miles. Total of 5,000 miles so far this year.

Tomorrow I will be meeting Earlfor, and he has promised to prove to me that Flori-duh has roads with curves.

Holy cow last bike I had I didn't do 5K in a whole year
Hope to change that this year:D

How old's your daughter?

I rode about 5K last year
and this year I'm around 1500 so far. Two 360s in there.

I just looked in my gas log book and found that in the past 12 months, I have logged over 26,850 miles.

Obviously, my bike is not just a weekend fun machine, it's my daily transportation, whenever possible. :D

My daughter is almost 10, she is kind of tall for her age and can reach the pegs and hold on good around me. I was afraid she would counter lean when we go around corners, but she leans right with me and doesn't even realize it. It just is natural to her. I told she was doing a good job doing it and she said she wasn't doing anything, I said "well keep doing nothing then":D

Took my bike to work this morning too.

looks like we may have created a monster. I got home from work and saw my wifes bike out. My daughter requested we take the motorcycles to a friend of ours B-day party.
The kid is hooked.:D

Lol

Lol

congrats on making it a family thing... i believe nothing could be more fun.

I ride about 6k a year. I hope that my first 'long' trip this year will be from my house in florence cty, sc to asheville. Should be around 300 miles taking rt 9 from just above darlington to just east of avl.
