Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Ive got an 85 550e and am looking for the full fairing look of some of the other gs models. If anyone has one for sale or knows of one for sale let me know, thanx

Thank you for the links :)

Thank you for the links :)

Thank you guys for the links, I appreciate it. What Im looking for though are stock fiberglass cowl and front fairings from one of the other GS sportbikes, one of the katana looking 83-85's. An EF fairing would be nice but Id like the full streetbike fairing better, ive included a link with a pic of the type Im looking for,

i ALSO HAVE A 1983 GS 550E AND WOULD LOVE TO FIND THE EF PLASTICS. I LOVE THAT FULL FRONT FAIRING THAT COVERS THE ENGINE. ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN GET THEM ?????? ANYONE SELLIN???

Just keep watching ebay....

The problem is, I have never seen a 550ES with full lowers. I've seen plenty of 700ES and 750ES with aftermarket lowers, but never a 550.

The only GS bike that had factory lower fairings avalable was the 1150. Everything else that you might come across for sale or in photos was aftermarket.

I managed to find a set of lowers for my 750ES in pretty decent shape, but it took me 3 years of casual searching. YMMV, but fairings for the ES bikes were only made briefly, and by companies that aren't really around anymore.

As for taking the fairings from an 1100ES or 750ES, you'll have to verify that the mounting points for the fairing stay will match up - for both the uppers and the lowers. I had to fab up brackets for my lowers.... But even if you can find the stock ES fairings, and find that the fairing stay will bolt up, you'll still be stuck trying to find a set of lowers (which could take forever).

I mean, anything's possible, but it's going to take time and money. You'd probably be better off learning how to lay your own fiberglass...

Good luck,

This is all that was available from Suzuki for the 550....

You know, I stand corrected.

I was browsing the past BOTM photos, and came across a fully-faired 550EF owned by Ken Froggatt -

Nice looking 550, too. Still can't find anything about them being an OEM part for the US, though - all I could find on the net was for the Canadian-market 1985 EF.

Thats The Ef Fairing I Am Talking About. I Read That They Were Not Avail In The States, Only Canada Etc.... I Am Hoping To Find Those Someday

I believe Airtech still makes the E fairings in fiberglass for most of the GS line.

I was wondering if the ones from a 750 would work...hmm might as well just buy a damn katana with the fairings already on it for all the expense lol. Ill keep looking tho.
