Missing Engine Mounts

Hi Guys,
I've done something very very silly. Its been so long between taking the engine out of my bike, and I was finally putting it in when I realised that I was missing 2 engine mounts. I went through the garage and they are nowhere to be seen. I'm sure they are here somewhere, but I think they are in a place I dont look as I've cleaned the garage up maybe 5 times since I begun my build.
I feel like such a goose because I am very very careful with this stuff.
Upon reviewing old photos, It seems that the two were missing pretty much the day I took the engine out as I took a photo of the parts and they were not in that picture!

If anyone has some engine mounts for a GS1100g 1983 or similar model that would fit, please let me know, the engine is currently half in the frame lying on its side waiting :(

Basically missing one of the front engine mounts (I have the two rear and one of the front) and there is only one mount on the side according to the fische)

Cheers

So I need
1) Number 2
2) Number 5

I found Number 2 on ebay..but number 5...nowhere to be seen :(

Hahahha im happy to pay for trouble my good man! Ill pm you my details if you could reply with ur paypal i would be most happy hehe!

Baahh, engine mounts are over rated. On the farm we just use some left-over baling wire. ;);)
But seriously, someone else will probably be by also. Best of luck, I just reassembled a GPz that I took apart in 2006. I was stunned that I ran out of parts at exactly the same time all the holes were filled. Phew.

Hahaha my mate askrd me today if there was any way we could holdthe engine in another way. I said "dont think so" must try ur wire idea lol

what stupidity and luck on my behalf!

I decided that today I would do a massive clean out of my garage. Basically move everything and leave no stone unturned, if nothing, atleast I would have a very clean garage again. So i didnt find anything. which was ok. Then when I was almost done, I sat down for a cigarette, and as I look down, i see one of the missing pieces (number 2)...under a piece of cardboard....right next to the rest of the mounts.....The only place I didnt look, was where it would actually be. So it turns out all along, it was in the place that it should have been....haha..Number 5 is long gone though..however one will be on the way soon! :)

I can relate. I "lost" two of the engine mounts once and spent a LOT of time looking. Gave up and started looking for replacements but couldn't find any either. A couple of days later I found them hanging on strings, drying after fresh paint. I was painting so many different parts I ran out of the normal places to hang them so these fell off the radar screen. At any rate, glad you found them.:)
