ohh that will help it out? I dont even have a gas tank on it yet lol but if I just let some gas through it is should be good? the bike may be in gear lol i pulled the gear shift and dont member what position i left it in. would the engine turn over all the way in gear?

So I got Home today And went out to my shed, I got a new fuse box because the other one was acting up i put it on( 20 used) , anyways then I tried to fire her up holding the clutch and nothing and the bike was in neutral. I rotated the crank clockwise as far as it would go and the hit the starter button and she turned over! But then stopped!

Has anyone seen this before? valves possibly? or a stuck piston?
Let me know Thanks!

Engine Question

Engine Question

Hey Guys! so I pulled the valve cover to check and see if the valves are stuck. for some reason the engine can't turn all the way over? it turns about 3/4s of the way. im kinda stumped any help would be awesome!
heres some pics to see if they help!

That is your lash adjustment clearance.
Did you already pull the plugs to see if it was hydro-locked?

Daniel

i pulled the plugs and the pistons seam to be moving.
how do you check if it's hydro-locked?

You have had several suggestion on what needs to be checked and/or done.

We have not seen any response to any of them.

Have you tried any of them?

You keep trying other things rather that what is suggested.

This is where some of us start reading other threads. :o

I've tried everything suggested and still no luck. and nothing has worked.

so like i said ive tried everythig suggested and still no luck. If an engine was hydro-locked do you pretty much have to tear the motor apart?

How would I check if the valves are stuck? I used the rubber end a set of pliers to push on the springs and they all went down ok, is there a better way to check it?
Thanks

is there water in the oil?
look in the plug holes see what the pistons look like
no valves are stuck open?
look through the exhaust holes and see what the valves look like, the pipes have to be off for this

do a lil work make sure there is nothing in the piston area!, just incase someon put a bolt or anything in 1 of them, to **** someone off, yea there are some pieces of $hit out there in this big ole world

Nope No water in the oil!
The Pistons look pretty black and carbon covered, as for the valves none on them look like there stuck open there all pretty level. I'm going to rip the exhaust off tomorrow and check what that looks like.
Thanks for you reply man! ill snap a shot of what it looks like when i get the exhaust ripped of!

UPdate!

UPdate!

Well today! Just as I was Taking the exhaust bolts off! lol A Buddy came over and i was going go show him what the problem was and I hit the starter Button and she Turned OVER!! WHOOT! the a couple nights before I spryed some liquid wrentch into the cylinders. So i guess it freed them up. there pretty black and carbon covered. whats the best way to clean the out? besides takin them out?
Thanks!

Carbon in the exhaust ports is normal and won't hurt anything. I wouldn't worry about it.

That earlier photo with the blue/red wire thingie is a switch for auto cancel turn signals - fits into the gauge cluster. Not sure of your bike had that feature or not but there you go.

Even if the cylinders have alot of carbon on em?

Yea I pulled the Sensor out of the cluster all good i'm pretty sure it doesnt have the feature!
now to just get a valve cover gasket and see if she'll start!
Anyone know where i can get a Gasket set?

Thanks
