A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to say thanks for a great resource for the GS bikes. I'm also a member of the SOHC4 forum and it has been a great resource. I'm looking forward to information found from a collective group. I also have a 1975 Honda 750FO/Reed Titan and a European model 1968 CB450 twin. Thanks again!

Careful here,I been mercilessly crucified posting in thumbnail.you may get troll attack .

Welcome,

Nice shaftie (nickname for shaft drive). I don't mind thumbnail pics...I use Photobucket and pay $59 a year for it and it works fine for me.

Looks like your missing the left side grip...are you working on the clutch?

Always an adventure with these GS bikes!

Nice motorcycle, welcome to the site and all that. Interesting avatar, it looks like Russ Collins in the near lane but who is in the far lane? Maybe Elmer back in his Harley days?? You're a old drag racer I take it??

Thanks everybody! No I'm not a drag racer just learning to navigate the site an used the RC picture for fun. The left grip is off because I switched to Superbike bars and I cut the left grip off because it was stuck on. New grips arriving in the mail. I can't see a lot of the images I sent a message to the moderators and hopefully will be able to get it resolved soon. I placed an add in the parts wanted section for a headlight and signals. I would like to use the rear signals as fronts because they don't stick out as far. Anyone willing to sell me a headlight assembly and signals? Thanks for the welcome.

Post an ad in the "wanted" section. Not sure what images that you are referring to, but if its a Photobucket thumbnail, its photobucket related, not this site.

I can't view any of the bikes of the month pictures for example

New member from La Center Washington here. Have a 83 GS1100E bought new in Portland Oregon, but with a twist. I also had a 78 1000 and told the wife I wanted to get the 1100E. I worked nights at the time so I picked it up around 9am while she was at work. Got it home and proceeded to yank the engine, crate it and ship it off to Yoshimura for big bore, headwork, cams, rejetting and pipe. When she came home and out to the shop to see it imagine her surprise! Got it back and all put together and currently have around 35,000 on it. Still mint condition. Tried drag racing once and while I?ve raced cars for decades(S/G 71 Duster Hemi 4spd 9.70s off the throttle stop) I never could master the throttle, clutch situation on the GS well enough to be competitive. Ran a couple 10.40s at 130 then relegated it to pleasure riding only.
