A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I'm having this issue too on an 1100. Flat power between 2500 and 4500. I too have pods. Thanks for the info. I have stock headers but the guy who owned it before me put Harley cans on it.

I did that too. The Dynojet main jets were too rich for my setup. Those jet kits dont always apply to everyones setup perfectly. I could have bought a few sets of main jets and shimmed my needles for what I payed for that Dynojet kit, but I didnt know. Live and learn
It runs alot better now than it did in stock form- so Im happy.
Just so everyone knows....Dynojet, K&N, Factory.... among others, stage 3 jet kits, are designed for use with K&N PODS and a QUALITY pipe.
I tell people that the Emgo and similar cheaper pods and "different/non-quality" exhausts don't flow as well and this will defeat the design of the jet kits. This is why some believe the jet kits are designed with rich main jets. Many don't buy the K&N pods because of cost. Many don't buy a quality exhaust because of cost. Those are mistakes and the jetting (and owner) will suffer.

Exactly, you can't expect to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. If you use the components the jet kit calls for you will be in the ballpark right off the bat. Anything less or more and you will have issues. Years ago when I did run the stock carbs I installed a Kerker K2 exhaust with K&N pods and a Dynojet Stage 3 kit and the jetting was nearly spot on using the tuning info Dynojet supplied.

I went looking for a Stage 3 kit to do the K&N pods right, but bike bandit doesnt ANY stock stage 3 kits for an 850. Any other suggestions?
