    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I bought a '75 Norton 850 New in '77. Photo taken in '80. I still have it, but it has aged much better than I have...

This '73 Commando has been in my family since about '79, and mine since about '85. I really like the green...

I always like those Commando's and you rarely ever saw one then or now for that matter. The Norton girls on the inside cover weren't bad either.

i like the rear directionals. However, probably not very visable????
During the daytime, they are a little questionable.

Missed your ride notice last weekend...anyway, I went riding with my 2 sons, but maybe next time!

This is one of me in the '80s -- it's a '74 model if I remember correctly.

It looks like a water buffalo..what ever happened to the bike?

I don't know. You know oldtimers disease and all that. I think I might have traded it in on a Guzzi 850.

HEY, I even had black hair back then. That was 27 years ago.

They were pleasant memories.

Sorry, Yes it was a GT750. They had various names. This one was a bit of a hot rod. 3mm shaved off the head. Bigger carbs. Big tubed 3 into 1 expansion chambers, etc. It had plenty of get up and go.

ay trip that I will never forget.

Here's a shot of me on my 1982 Suzuki GS750E before a 5500 mile roadtrip from Iowa to California and many points between. I bought it new and drove it about 12,000 miles before selling it in '84. I got back into biking last October and now have a 1979 GS850GN, also with Shoei fairing, Eclipse tank bag and Bag Man soft luggage. It's great to be on two wheels again and this site is a great help in many ways!:)

Here's some of my old bikes.
