DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hi all,
Well I spray painted my engine in situ today using high temp. engine paint.

I cleaned it last Monday, using a wire brush to take of the old loose paint and masked it all off with tape and old newspaper! A bit of a D.I.Y job but it looks so much better for it I think.

There are a few pics of it after de-masking in my photos if you want a look.
Its not as silver as I would have liked, but it really cleans it up alot.

I also got a new (but old retro stlye) Irish number plate made up, nice a plain, but very happy with it.

What you think?

Cant figure out how to attach pics to this post?!:(

There are some if you click on my user name though...

Rather than make others slog through your profile to find your album where you have the pictures, why not just post them?

Here, I'll do it for you:

Cheers for that Steve!

I painted it on the bike..I had a day off work today, so had the time to do it.
It took a bit of time to mask up this morning, as I didnt want that paint anywhere else! And its quick drying, so I gave it 4 coats.

I should add as its hard to make out I didnt paint any of the covers...

That really cleans it up, for sure. That's a nice looking bike. Is that the stock colour that was sold in your part of the world? We didn't get that one here (Canada), that I'm aware of and its really attractive.

The bike was imported to Ireland in 2006 from the U.S, Ive been looking on google and have yet to find the same colours elsewhere. Nice though.

I re-sprayed the side panels two weeks ago, again just to clean them up a bit, and the silver/grey stripes on them are done with a decal tape.

Maybe early next year I will get the whole tank, tail, and side panel painted by a pro.
I saw a lovely black and yellow on here somewhere and it blew my mind!
