A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Okay this is the top as it looks with the job done on it. Nothing special relly, but at least it looks better with the new paint on it.

The whell with the new brake and top/cylinder.

This is how the new rearbrake should sit on the bike. Nice if I can say so myself.

Well that all folks, thats it for now. I have a weekend of work before me, so maybe i can do some work on the bike on monday.

You mentioned cutting a rotor down for fit, make sure it has plenty of drilled vent holes to disipate heat of it may warp.

Rotor? I may missunderstand you, but i mean to shave the brake disc to a smaller diameter than it is original. And the disc itself allready have got vent holes. Is a disc also called "a rotor"?

And about the colour of the rims, ferrari red is very nice, although im just going with brown/red trimmigs like on the front wirespoked wheel.

+1 on the colours... going to be interesting with a disc up the back and a drum on the front though...

Yeah. I know, but i used a brakecylinder from a mini cooper car and modified so it would fit inside the brake drum.I have got a heavy duty mastercylinder that I think will suffice. It should be the same retardation as a double rotor. But that, off course, remains to be proven. :)

have taken som time after work to do some work on the project. Its coming together slowly. Just to recap what I have done: New pistong rings and honed cylinder, new adapters and restorated carbs, new clutchsprings and valve seals and new valve springs, every single gasket is replaced, the forks is restorated and have got progressive springs, tail modifed (as shown below) new dyna ingnition, the intake and exhaust canals in the cylinder head have been polished and opened up. And im just putting toghether the oilcooler. No supercharger, as I cant get a hold of one that will work. The drumbrake in front is a bit wobbly and it will take some more work though, the brake cylinder is plenty strong and the wheel changes position when braking - not good. Here are some pics.

Yes and no. There is always stuff that can be improved. The next step is for instancea swing arm that can take a 180/60/17 wheel, and im looking for a wirespoked rear wheel.
