Here is a link to the picture of the bike. I can't get the img link to work. Anyway this is what it looks like after the rattle can paint job. And no I didn't paint over the labels. I painted them a darker shade of red for a shadow effect but everyone thinks I got lazy. So I'm painting them Black one of these days.

If I were you, paint the emblems just an even darker shade of red. Your idea is right on and ppl are only saying that because it is to close the the red of the bike.
