I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Hi Everyone,

I am new to the gs forum and to the gs riding experience. I am a college student and I just got my 82 450 (don't know the type) about 3 months ago to ride to home to school. It rides pretty well, the only real complaint I have is the front fairing....it looks kinda tacky because it is missing the mirror. I was wondering if anyone know how I can replace the front fairing for a more traditional front headlight and what parts I would need.

Thanks,

Lan

need more info or a few pictures. do you know what brand of fairing it is? Are you sure that the headlight is part of the fairing, or is it a "universal" type that uses the stock head light? If you are riding any kind of distance and possibly in diverse weather conditions, does the comfort a fairing can offer outweigh the embarassment of being tacky?

Thanks guys for the respond. The headlight is fixed into the faring... it looks like the original factory fairing. All the lights are mounted on it. I guess what i would need is another light mount...new headlights and turn light signal. Do anyone know where I can find a cheap one so I can mod this bike to look like one without the fairing. I'll try to post some pictures when I can get a hold of a digi cam.
