Two GS 1150 Base Gaskets??

Hi,

I have an 83 1100ESD that i'm rebuilding. I've read to put 1150 base gaskets in because they're metal. I'm looking on the parts fiche and I see there are two different gaskets available (for different cylinders possibly?). Which one is the one I'm looking for?

Also, I'm going to be using a 0.043" head gasket. Do I want the 75mm or 76mm gasket. I see both are suited for my application (a 1168 kit). I'm also going to be using a graphite gasket. Does that sound right? 10.25 compression.

Contact Cometic gaskets in Painesville. For the base gasket I would suggest an aluminum core rubber coated gasket they make. I blew out a stock paper gasket years back and after talking to cometic I switched to the aluminum core gaskets they make. They work really well and don't leak. They also make an aluminum core foam coated gasket. Make sure you ask for the one coated with rubber.

I would also get the head gasket from them. Just tell them your running an 1166 kit.
