A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hi Mr. boba,

For a moment, I thought I was looking at a Slipstreamer S-03 (like I used to have on my bike) but the mounting hardware is all wrong. Here's my old windshield.

This windshield had a couple of handlebar mounts and a couple of headlight bucket ear mounts. The windshield on my bike now is the Slipstreamer S-06. It has only handlebar mounts. For $70 you can order yourself a brand new Slipstreamer S-06.

The handlebar hardware looks like this.

I don't know what kind of windshield you have there. But mounting hardware can probably be had from the original manufacturer. Slipstreamer? National Cycle? Other? Hopefully someone will recognize that windshield. Can you find some generic hardware at the hardware store?

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

The mounts on your shield look like early model Slipstreamer.

Just looked at their site and saw that they don't sell directly, but I am sure you can get a list of their distributors.

Too bad, I just sold my windshield in very good conditon with all mounting hardware for $45. I wouldn't invest $70 for hardware for that old windshield. Check craigslist for a deal or for about the same money you would spend on ordering new hardware get a new one online that has NO scratches.
Or if you're handy, try to make your own mounts with something like hose clamps...2 smaller ones for the h-bars and 2 larger ones for the triple tree mount spots.

p.s. $70 for used mount parts is a ripoff especially if you're not sure they fit. Offer them $15-20 if you can match them up, otherwise find yourself a better used parts supplier.

Hi,

As far as I know, those are the stock bars for the GS850GT. Many here like the Superbike bars. But those are a little too low for me over long distances.

Thank you for your indulgence,
