    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Wiring an SH775

Hello, just rec'd the new SH775. As I see it all 3 yellow leads go into the set of 3 blades( no particular order as I remember)but how do I tell which of the 2 remaining blades get the + lead and the - leads?

I don't want to just copy the positions as on the old R/R as it may be different for the 775 but I didn't see any + or - indicators. Is there a test or just someone's good word who has trod this path? :confused:

You are correct, the three stator wires go directly to the three input terminals.

In the other connector, the terminal closest to the stator inputs is your + terminal, the one farther away is your ground.

Thanks for your reply. Wonder why they just don't put a + & - mark on them but then who am I to criticize modern industrial brilliance?

That arrangement is probably the same as old R/R I took off, have to check, I did mark position of all leads when I took it off.

Because on the vehicle for which they were intended, the connectors were already wired to the proper places.

Since we are ADAPTING, it is up to us to do the reasearch, but yeah, marks would be nice.

#1 The SERIES Shindengen R/R SH-775 commonly available from Polaris Dealers. Search the GSR site for recent posts on best price and availability. This is most peoples number one choice for an R/R replacement because of low price, easy availability and SERIES performance. It's only down size is a fairly large form factor (same as the MOSFET FH012) made even larger if you use the mating convectors.

Steve has graciously done the price checking for online ones- if you got a Polaris dealer near you, inquire ,cuz they might be close or willing to bargain.

SeaDoo and CanAM also use this same Shindengen SH775 Regulator under their OEM part number 710001103.
Now - the new price is about 2x that of the exacts same Polaris OEM part - even from same common dealer!
But there are a lot of used SeaDoo/CanAm SH775 on Ebay (although still about the same price used as a brand new Polaris-sourced part)
