If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

i have an 82 gs1100gl. im having trouble finding an aftermarket 4-2 exhaust for shaftie models. sooo, iv noticed on ebay that there alot of mac mufflers and full exhaust for gs1000's up to 1980. i was just wondering for future refrence if an exhaust or mufflers with the y-split off a gs1000 would fit my gs1100? or any other bikes exhaust. and theres no way i want a 4-1, i love the look and sound of a 4-2 on a 8 valve.

heres a couple ebay links for the exhaust or mufflers iv been looking at.

The stock pipes for the GL's were the same pipe for the 81 1000GLX & 831100GLD shaft models. I am not sure about the pre 81 models.

all im really worried about is if the exhaust ports off the cylinder head are the same size and width apart for the the headers to interchange. i can deal with making new brackets for the mufflers to hang on.

Does anyone know if exhaust from an '80 GS1100LT will fit on an '80 GS1000G. I figure I will have to modify the muffler mounting bracket which is no big deal, but am more worried about bolting up to the head and ground/frame clearance. Thanks.

I have a Vance & Hines Propipe on my gs1000.They list the same part number for both 8 and 16 valves.

I put a header that was on a 1000 eight valve onto a sixteen valve 1100.
It fit.
This was a sidewinder race header though.
