1983 Suzuki GS1100ES

A Note From The Owner
This is a 1983 GS 1100 ES. I am the third owner. It has 60,000 Km (40,000 miles). It was in fair shape when I bought it, but it was in need of some T.L.C.
I tore most of it apart and cleaned and repaired what was obvious. I replaced the fork seals, fork springs, and added 5W higher in fork oil.
The back received new shocks and a new tire. The brake lines were all replaced with braided stainless steal lines. The original pipes were pretty much done, and I was not able to find any stock ones to replace them with, so I put on 4 into 2 MAC pipes. They are a little louder that stock, but not too bad.
She got a new paint job...with some difficulty finding the original decals, but I was lucky and got them all. I am fortunate to have the Lockhard lowers for it, as these are fairly rare.
The next step is to redo the coils and wires and the ignition. Other than that, it is a daily rider. I just got back from a 4,000 Km trip, and it didn't miss a beat. Just prior to staring it up in the mornings, I can be heard muttering...I'm not worthy...I'm not worthy. May the GS live forever!!
PS...the chain guard is on order from Japan.
