TGSR Bike Of The Month
1983 Suzuki GS750E

A Note From The Owner
This is my 1983 SUZUKI GS750E, I have had the bike for almost 20 years and it was only this year that I decided to do a full rebuild/restore. Actually the plan was to do an oil change on the bike, to show my older son some wrenching as he was showing an interest in getting motorcycle and I wanted to make sure he had some idea of what he is in store for. Needless to say the quick oil change turned into a full blown teardown and rebuild of the entire bike.
Every part was either painted or polished, all new stainless steel Allen head bolts were put in, new stainless steel brake lines, all covers were polished, the rims were painted and the lip polished, new tires both front and back, and I even went one size up, new AGM battery, and all the tins were painted a pearl white with a metallic sparkle, with a nice clear coat finish, new decals were put on as well. It was a project that spanned 10 months, but it was an enjoyment to do, and I think now I have a bike that will probably last at least another 30 years, and something I can pass on to my sons possibly for them to enjoy as well.
