Questionable parts website.........
So I placed an order for some front signals on www.cyclewareables.com. The company is just over in West Virginia, I'm in D.C., I thought I'd keep somewhat local. Never done any business with them before, and I found the site a bit confusing. But I found what I needed, ordered it, and the only response I got from them was an email saying my order is being processed. No number, no reciept. About a week went by, and I sent an email inquiring on the order status, got nothing. I called the # on the website, and it just rings and rings and rings. Seems shady to me..... Should have gone to bikebandit in the first place.Tags: None

I don't know about you, but the whole site just screams "one dude in his Mom's basement with a stack of catalogs". Mom must be at work so she can't come down to the basement and answer the phone.
To be fair, despite the primitive nature of the site, there are far easier ways to scam people than generating pages full of obscure motorcycle parts. I would bet that they are probably honest, but slow and not all that motivated. You'll get your parts -- eventually.
Very interesting "rules" page here:

I'd be very surprised if this is anything more than an occasional hobby -- "Hatch" likely has a day job somewhere and checks in on the site a few times a week to see if there are any orders. At least he's honest about not having inventory, and needing to order the items.
Some of these sites also wait until they have a certain volume of orders before placing orders with their suppliers. Ever been to a dealer that only orders parts on Wednesday evenings or something silly like that?1983 GS850G, Cosmos Blue.

Cool, thanks for the sites, D Angel. I'm fairly new to riding, about a year or so, and don't yet have a good grip on where to go to get decent service for bike parts (haven't really had to do a damn thing to this bike since I've had it!). But, as soon as winter hits I'm going to spend some good time getting my baby cabk to where she was 25 years ago, so I'll check these places out. Thanks.
