I ordered a Telefix fork brace a few weeks ago, for my GS1000. At least I thought I did. At the time the owner said the price would be significantly higher due to shipping costs, and the fluctuations in the EURO. I wasn't having any luck on ebay, so okay, $159 bucks I agreed to pay. I was told delivery would be in about 4 weeks.

Well were in the 4 week window, so I called. HE HAS NOT ORDERED MY PART! Again I get a whine about the EURO, he's not making any money on these, shipping charges, yada...yada...

I canceled my "order". Look, I'm not expecting a business to lose money, but he could have at least contacted me. Now I've wasted 4 weeks, and actually passed up a few used fork braces on ebay.

Not a very professional business, if you ask me.

I had the exact same experience with SpecII about eight or nine years ago when I tried to order a fork brace for my GS850.

Same BS line about exchange rates (except it was the Deutsche Mark back then), same bad attitude, and same utter lack of action.

Isn't there anyone else importing Telefix products?

I talked to the SpecII guy a few weeks ago and he came off kind of rude. He said they just moved and things were a mess, so I understand his pain, but he said he doesn't really make money on selling them.

The parts are imported from Germany, which is why it has a long lead time of 4-weeks.

I contacted my German counterparts and it costs them 129 Euro's which is about $170 USD.

Telefix out of Germany recommended me to this seller:

      Wild Hair Accessories
      Irfan Berk
      5505 W.Fallen Leaf Ln
      AZ 85310 GLENDALE / USA
      E-Mail: infowildhair@cox.net
      Phone: 6235811994

Irfan has sent me a few emails, so they're decent communicators. Try them out...price is still $170.
