Fast Orange hand cleaner

This stuff is brilliant. No matter how oily and mucky you get working on the bike, just stick some of this on your palms, (no water or anything) , rub for a bit, and wipe off.

The "smooth" is wonderful stuff, but impossible to find around here -- all anyone has in stock is that crap with pumice abrasives in it.

If you're actually doing, you know, mechanical work involving the innards of engines, brakes, etc., the possibility of contaminating your parts with abrasives from hand cleaners is ludicrous.

I can't think of too many jobs where an extra helping of grit would be a good idea.

And the stuff works wonders on your wheels, too. Gets all the road grime & chain goo right off. Rub it on...hose it off. Cleans your hands and the wheels at the same time!

I agree with Brian. Hard to get Fast Orange in the smooth formula. But there are other brands that work just as well.

Actually, I don't often wash my hands while working on the bike, I find that waiting till I'm finished means I only need to wash them once.
But, if you saw my garage, you'd realise that it isn't exactly surgically clean or anything.

Little pumice things in fast orange and other hand thingies are the greatest invention ever, that is actually a FACT!

Another Permatex product I like if you want "smooth" is the DL hand cleaner Works well!

On the orange stuff, another use I've had success with is on my car's leather interior. With lanolin, aloe, jojoba, it's well suited for the job.

I like the gritty stuff since it scrubs off the black grease. When my hands are not super dirty, thus the Orange stuff in not needed, I just spray them with a shot of Simple Green. Either way, smells good.

I despise the smell of Simple Green. It works okay (not as good as Fast Orange) but the smell is not for me. You can buy the Permatex stuff (I prefer it over the other citrus based stuff) at Costco or Sam's club, I think. I like it when my hands are dry and crackly from scrubbing.

I have just spotted my wife sneaking past me with a 4 litre dispenser bottle , that is orange coloured with a black top. I know what I'm getting off Santa, yay!
