    Stebel Electromagnetic Horns

Just installed the Stebel TM80/2 which is two horns - hi/low. They are loud !! Got them from Sound Engineering Consultants 2910 Cedarwood Traverse City, MI 49686 who represents Stebel in the US. Went to the stebel-usa website and called the number, got "Joe" who knew the product and quoted (and honored) a wholesale price (because that's all the pricing they have plus shipping < $25. He even shipped it before he received my check!!

Went with the electromagnetic so I' not dealing with a compressor. And from the sound files available at Stebel.it it is noticaeably louder than the single Magnum horn.

Can't wait to wake a daydreamer up!!

231.342.1103 - voice message asks if you want to leave a message for Joe - no mention of Sound Engineering or Stebel-USA.

I have the Magnums and they are loud as a good solid car horn, so those must be crazy. Mine draw so much current they won't even blow unless the bike is running.

Don't they supply a relay with these? My Stebel Nautilus came with a relay. I'm currently looking for the best location to mount it on the bike......139 decibels, but not as convenient as the twin electromagnetics, to mount.

Mine came with a relay, but I didn't use it. I ran hot from my fuse block where I had a spare fuse and used the existing wires from the horn button for the other side.

Yeah it did come with a relay. I blipped the horn for second and saw the voltage at the battery go from 12.3 down to 11.9 - this was with bike off. I just used the existing mounting bracket combined with the brackets from Stebel.

This is what I have as well. Works just fine for me. I did use the relay that came with it. I compared to my f150's horn a few times (my neighbors must love me). The magnums were louder.

                    Pics, please...

I like the Wolo Bad Boy (AKA Stebel something-or-other) as shown in another post, but I'd like something a bit smaller. How big are these horns and what do they look like?

got mine and installed them yesterday. they sound nice, but sometimes both won't fire. i'm not sure if i just don't have enough voltage or if there is a grounding issue. I'm gonna completly rewire them to the battery and use a relay, i was trying to short cut by using the origional wiring.
