Anyone know any good machine shops in the North Chicago suburbs (or even the North side)? Quality of work is a main concern, but price is important too.

Need a good machine shop-Chicago
I am considering switching my stock, damaged steering bearings to an All Balls kit, but the site said I would need some modification done to the steering stem. I was told to take it to a machine shop, but I don't normally deal with a business like that, so I need to find a good one.

There are several GS-ers in that area. Have patience -- one should be along soon.1983 GS850G, Cosmos Blue.

I think four and six racing could probably do that for you. I've never used them but I've heard good things. I've talked to them on the phone a couple of times and they struck me as pretty honest.
