    Never using BikeBandit again!

Earlier this season, I ordered a pair of Alpinestars S-MX 2 boots in size Euro 50 from BikeBandit. When they arrived here, they were WAY too big, even for my Euro size 50 feet. If I had to guess these would have to be a size 52 or 54, something I've never seen, even though they're labeled as 50's. I wear a size 15 in US sizes and there's about two inches of space left.

I called to return, and they said I had to ship them back at my cost, another $20+ dollars, and just order another pair of boots.

"How am I supposed to order another pair of boots, when the sizes are inconsistent and/or incorrect?", I asked.

The answer I got over and over was essentially, "Tough luck. Not our problem."

The CSR told me to send the boots back in their box since the original box they came in had a ton of parts in it and was now far too big. I did that, and when it arrived, it got rejected because the box they came in was damaged.

I called them up to find out what was happening, and again their response was, "Tough luck. Not our problem."

So now I've got a pair of boots that fit no one, that cost me an extra $20 due to the return shipping costs.

BB has always had great customer service as far as I've noticed, but this experience really torqued my nut. I'm done.

Wow, garbage. I've never used Bike Bandit for anything other than OEM parts, and even then only if I didn't need them in a timely fashion. It has taken 3-6 weeks for an order of mine to get processed. Sorry about such a crap experience, duly noted!

I would only use them for direct fit parts. I do buy alot of from them, but they do sometimes take a while. It seems like it takes 3 days for them just to process the order. What ****ed me off was I placed an order for a few parts, I accidently ordered 2 wrong bearings and had them cancel it 15 minutes later. They still banged me 20% handling even though they didnt even pull any parts.

Many of us order part from them. I have spent a fair chunk of money there. Maybe we should storm the gates a little on behalf of fellow members to pressure them to do a better job.

          Just my thoughts.

I just really take exception to the "not my problem" attitude, especially when it comes to customer service.

I've ordered quite a few things from there. Never had any problems.

I say we all send them an email complaining on a fellow members behalf.

I hear ya. It means there is no customer service. None.

I've only used them once....took forever to get my parts.

I almost always order from flatoutmotorcycles for OEM. The guy that handles the parts is actually a member here and posts occasionally.
Sure, if a part is not in stock, it can take a while. But if they are in, I get them in a couple of days.

I just got new boots for the 1100E, took 3 days.

All that being said, I don't know their return policy.

For gear, I mostly buy from newenough...And I have been very happy with their return policy.

Wish this post had come in last week

I ordered parts from Bike Bandit last Thursday, hoping to get the parts I ordered by this Thursday. Well the rear brake pads were out of stock, so they sent me an email and I responded on Monday (Memorial Day) by email to switch out the semi metalic pads for the organic pads as those were in stock. The following day I called to be sure they had switched the pads out and they had not done anything despite 2 emails asking them to switch out the pads. Today is Friday and its now been over a week and still they have yet to send me any info stating that the pads or other parts have been shipped. At this point I think I would have been better to just go to the local dealer and order the stuff and I would have had it by now. Seeing that the posts say that they charge a 20% restocking fee on cancelled orders I guess Im going to have to wait to ride till they decide to get in the mood to actually pull the parts and ship them.

I would not recommend them if you need parts in less than 2 weeks, and will gladly be part of the email if anyone wants to send them a list of issues we all seem to be having with their service.

Like many others on the GSR I have used Bike Bandit for a lot of items, however I may have spent my last dollar there. I will be watching to see what if anything they end up doing for you UncleMike. They do have an obligation to correct the problem. I say we should all boycott them. Ray

I've never heard anything but garbage reports about them. You guys have trouble with them there, I'd certainly never use them and expect them to post O/S to me.
You should tell them that you're telling us Mike. You could even send them the link to this thread. If they know the huge amount of bad publicity that they're getting they may do something.

They've already said that they outright refuse to do anything with vomitous platitudes like "it's out of our hands" and "there's nothing we can do".

                          My response?

I am going to email them and maybe even call them today.

If they blow off GSR folks they just may lose a small but significant portion of their revenue since we all buy old bikes that need parts.

It's not a bad idea. I'm wondering if people on other sites have had similar experiences...
