What the heck happened to those poor carbs?
I've honestly never seen anything like that.
I'm trying to imagine what someone might have put down in those carbs to cause that extreme degree of corrosion. The crushed floats are bizarre, too. The best I can come up with is that the carbs somehow filled up with water many years ago, which froze and crushed the floats, then caused the exotic corrosion. Dunno, though. Very strange. Were they buried or something?
Hope you get your money back.
The sad part is that someone probably would have happily purchased these carbs for parts, probably for $20 or so, if the true condition were disclosed. There's never a need to be dishonest.
I bought a set of carbs a while back that had been in a fire and then covered in fire extinguishing foam, and got lots of useful parts out of them.

This guy should be banned unless he makes amends financially and agrees to never pull this kind of crap again.

Today 06:03 PM almarconi How could anyone with a conscience sell something that looks like that? Those carbs are not worth 55 cents. It would be a miracle if they are even serviceable. You should post his name here on the forum so no one buys anything from him. If you have someway of getting your money back, I would ask for a refund and return the carbs.
Sorry for your troubles, another moron calling himself a carb "expert" proves to not have a f*cking clue.
IF THE SELLER WON'T MAKE IT RIGHT - BAN HIM

Guest repliedIt was through paypal, I haven't asked him for a refund because I needed one of the diaphragms, which is the main reason I purchased the carbs (besides having an extra set would have been nice). On top of that, he'd probably just sell them to someone else.

Guest repliedI feel bad for you especially knowing that a member on this forum would sell crap like that to you. It's hard enough to make a buck these days, have to spend your hard earned money and not get what you pay for ..man that burns me up.
Whoever sold that crap to you should be banned from the forum!
