I am wondering if anyone knows about suzukipartsnation.com.

I want to purchase 2 coils and the necessary parts included with that and the best price I've found so far is from them.

That said I don't want to buy from someone without knowing if they are any good. HELP!

I also found http://www.powersportmarine.com/ that has better prices than most...

What year and model is your bike? If it's an old points-and-condenser, you might want to consider the Dyna coils and Dyna S electronic triggering. It's probably a little cheaper than OEM, gives a hotter spark, and is set-and -forget. Many here use this setup.

No moving parts....

Unfortunately it seems the only route is OEM. It is an electronic solid state system.

I'm tending towards http://www.powersportmarine.com as they have a more professional feel towards their site and their contact is a real person who seems knowledgeable.

It still makes me nervous though.

The total cost ordered through the site is about 250 + shipping + customs... here in Newfoundland Canada I would pay $415 total for the same thing. I figure I'll save about 100 bucks ordering online...

What year and model is your bike? If it is a 4 cylinder bike you can just buy coils off a much newer Katana or GSXR on eBay for around $50.

I think I paid about $40 locally for coils from a 1997 Katana 600. Unless you are trying to do an all stock restoration I can't see why you'd buy new OEM when you can get much better used OEM or after market for less money.

Nothing wrong with mixing parts!

It's a 1982 GS850G. I did notice when I did a make the order on Cycle Parts Nation the SKU: 33410-34210 was on the page for the tech sheet with aaa price of 77 dollars but when I clicked "order" it showed a part 33410-31311 COIL, IGNITION (33410-34210) $57.00. Note the 34210 on the original order turned into a 31311 which I believe is another suitable part... but that's a guess.

So yes it is a 4 cylinder and no, I don't need a stock restoration. Will the coils bolt on or will I have to mod the frame?

I think any Suzuki coils (and probably many others) will bolt on directly. All the ones I've seen use the same bolt spacing. You may need to modify the ignition wires or you may not. My Katana coils have longer plug leads but I was able to use them as they were. It could have been the placebo effect but the bike certainly felt more responsive to me with the new coils.
