    Inexpensive rain suit review.

I recently purchased this rain suit off of amazon (size XL). I didn't have one, and after getting caught in torrential rain coming out of the mountains of Colorado this summer that having a suit might not be the worst idea in the world...

Anyway, I purchased this one, and got to test it out today. Ended up riding about 45 minutes in light to light moderate rain today, and was very satisfied with the results. Warm and dry, and no 'swamp nuts' even at cruising speed.

Overall fit was very nice, it's slightly short in the back in an American-style cruiser seating position, but not in any way uncomfortably so, simply noticable. It might be a little more noticable/worse in the 'sport bike' crouch.

I'm 5'8", approx 225#. Outfit today was jeans/tshirt/hoodless sweatshirt, over which were Joe Rocket mesh pants and a heavy 3/4 length leather jacket. The size XL suit fit comfortably over it all. Inseam was the right length, though if it was any shorter it would have been too short. The sleeve length was spot-on. The waistband of the suit had tons of room to accommodate my robust gut plus all the gear, with room to spare. The collar is tall, but to be completely honest I didn't even notice it.

My only complaints so far are that the material on the inside of the suit can get a little bound up in the zippers, and I would like if the slit up the leg went a few inches past the knee, instead of a little below it.

But all things considered, I think this suit was a great bang for the buck.

I have pretty much the same suit, I just find it is a lot like a sauna if the temp is over 20 degrees. The only other part of it I don't really like is putting it on, kind of a PITA.
But it does keep you dry.
