    Scorpion EXO500? Anyone got one?

It's time to retire my beloved Aria Vector

Can't afford another Aria plus they have changed the fit of the Vector2.In my research I found Scorpion might Be a good fit for my head type.Problem was you could not get Scorpion helmets in Canada,or so I thought.Went to one of the local dealers and they had a few. Put on one of these http://www.motorcyclegear.com/street...le_helmet.html .It was a great fit in a L size. The review in Web Bike World looks good http://www.webbikeworld.com/r2/motor...rpion/exo-500/ but I would like some feed back from my friends here, about the EXO500 in particular but also the Scorpion line in general.
    Thank you

I have a ex400, heavy compare to the aria, much quieter, air flow is not great. But I prefer it over my old aria. I like the quietness no need for ear plugs.

As just a bit more "fill in".This is my Christmas present from my wife.Liking the idea of the flip down sun visor. The graphics are not OTT for me either.Big guy so a few oz is not a big deal to me.

I have the EXO750. Been a great helmet, comfortable, quiet, well ventilated. Really like the air inflatable cheek pads and the included chin Aero-Skirt. I like it quite a bit.

Before this one I had and EXO700. That was just as good of a helmet, although without the fancy features of the cheek pads and chin skirt.

Also have a Scorpion leather jacket that has been good for me. Crashed it in twice, and it has held up with only minimal scuffing.

Scorpion has been a great manufacturer for me. Go for it.

Just got the replacement to my Icon from the crash. I picked up a EXO900 (high vis) I found the quality of the Scorpion to be really good for $250.

I've owned EXO-400, 700 and now 750. The cheek pads are too tight for me but I like the helmets otherwise. They flow a LOT of air, and are not the most quiet helmets around because of it. Haven't tried the 500 but I'm sure it's excellent, as long as it fits you.

BTW, that Aria looks to be in excellent condition. Why are you retiring it? Looks to have lots of life left.

That is a picture of the Aria new Ed.It is now 4 years old and ready for retirement. Will be a bit different not wearing "the eagle" as I'd taken eagles as a personal talisman some time ago.Interesting to note the different perceptions of noise.IMHO no helmet out there is quite enough to do a long ride without ear plug, have a case of tinnitus at least partly due to not wearing them at work and on longer MC trips

If you like black and can take a wild liner here's a deal for you http://www.motorcyclegear.com/street...in_helmet.html Have some other deals on 700 and 750 models to.The 500's though come out about even so getting it local and not having to deal with Canada Post and customs is a +

that's the one i got. definitely gets odd looks on the liner, but i don't much care what other people think. besides, they rarely see it when i am passing at warp 10. i paid 120, i think, so good deal at 90something.nicer than my 110 hjc, by a lot.

                        My Christmas present

From my wife for those wondering. With the old Aria, fit is pretty much the same I'm happy to say.

                        Liking the graphics,more white= better visability.For what that's worth

I really like this, hoping it will work as good as I think it will.No more carting around an extra visor if it does.
