    Wise Guy Bolts

    I was just scanning Ebay one day and stumbled across this guy. The carb bolts set is $4 plus shipping

    I ordered two sets and they arrived (from WI) in a few days. Alas, I found that the fiche he had relied on was wrong and the top cap bolts need to be 12mm long, not 16mm as shown in the fiche and as shipped.

    I emailed him and sent him some photos and he sent me the 12mm lengths I needed for free and changed his kit.

    Now that gets a big thumbs up for good price, good quality and customer service!

    He's got kits for 8V motors also.

    I saw those also and wondered about quality.
    have been on my watch list for a couple of days and after reading this will purchase a couple of kits.

      They are good kits.Got them for my 78 1000 engine;

      And the VM carb set:

      Yeah the 16mm stick out a bit on the top covers but I'm not that fussed.Very happy with them,about 1/4 the price I could get them for locally even with extra $$ for shipping to Canada.

        Yeah, the 16 mm are too long, the 12 mm (rear) looks better

        The newer kits should have the shorter bolts

        You guys get on Ebay and buy some sets as he didn't make any money off me this time. Mailing me the (24) 12mm bolts cut into his profit margin, I'm sure

        I'll order some more when I'm after the holidays

          You know, I bought a complete set of case bolts, and the only bolts I used out of the kit were the header bolts. Someday I guess I'll put them on there.
