I made an order in August, and picked it up after waiting 7 weeks (!) for it. They are great to talk to on the phone, but nobody made any effort to respond to emails, even with the order number in the subject line.

The official explanation was a number of the items in my large (not price, but 36 items) order were backordered. When they finally got most of them in (had arrived the day I called ) one gasket was still missing. I had to wait another 2 weeks for that to come in, but they did give me the option of having the rest of it shipped out right away. I declined because I did not want to make the trip across the border twice.

The more troubling thing is that the invoice I received in the shipment looked very different than what I had ordered, in that 1/2 dozen items were not listed, some of the parts numbers were different that what I had ordered, one set of crush washers/gaskets, were unidentified (no part number), and the total was $60 less than what I had paid through Paypal. To top it off, the box was absolutely mangled to the point where some of the smaller plastic baggies could have slipped out, and I had to spend a couple of hours trying to figure out what had happened with the pricing between me ordering and them shipping.

As far as I could tell, everything was shipped, and once I identified the "missing" items that were not included on the invoice, the price paid originally matched up.

You're making me worried. I'm tempted to drive to Boulevard and find out what's going on. They're about 100 miles from where I live.

Just give them a call. They're really rather good when you get them on the phone.

I'm not believing it so far. They have my money and don't even have the courtesy to do the partial shipment they promised on Friday.

I have ordered from Brent at Boulevard 10+ times in the last 6 months, never a problem, always got what I needed, and when there was an opps they fixed it promptly.
They have partial shipped before and not hit me with additional shipping on the following order, but I have spent a few bucks with them so maybe they treat me better than someone who orders one small order per year.

You have nothing to worry about, but if you want real fast turn around find a dealer with the items in stock and order your parts there.
Boulevard does not stock any older GS stuff, it's all ordered from Suzuki who source it from their warehouses.

This wasn't a small order but I'm a happy camper now. The entire order arrived today.

I have to say that communication drops are one of my biggest peeves in life. Frankly, I'm very upset with myself when I find that I am the one dropping the communication ball.

I can deal with just about anything, but I just hate to be left hanging.

A mid-term, email update would be very nice, but I'm realistic enough to know that most small businesses are not staffed/outfitted well enough to keep that kind of communication chain going without some sort of action from the end-user.

I'm glad your order has arrived safely.

                  Glad it turned out ok.

I placed a rather large order with them back in July and it took about 7-10 days for the order to arrive. Everything was included in the order. Was a little worried about the threads stating it would take longer, but I had no problems. Guess all of the stuff I ordered was not on backorder.

Just placed an order with Bikebandit for a tire and fuel petcock. I placed order on Wednesday and the tire arrived Thursday. It was dropped shipped from a city here in LA. I was totally impressed. I made sure my order was aver $100.00 to get free shipping and my other parts will be here this coming Wednesday.

One tire and a brake line to go!!!!

I also find it very interesting that G&S and Boulevards Site looks exactly alike. Are these two companies the same just different locations?

The parts fiche and shopping cart are essentially purchased or contracted out, so they get their websites from the same "supplier".

This is true of virtually ALL of our OEM sources.

I have found that very few of them stock very much at all, even for the newer machines, except some of the stuff that is used for normal maintenance, like filters, spark plugs and other small stuff.

Once in a while I have gotten lucky. Went to order some stuff for my son's Yamaha Venture, the dealer had some of it in stock.
Not all, mind you, but some. He saw my shopping list and prices, asked where I got the prices. I told him "Internet". He matched the prices and gave me free shipping. That way, I got my desired prices, he also made a small percentage on each item. Win-win for both of us.
