Seat covers for gs850/gs1100 on ebay

Not sure if anyone still reads this section, since the last post was in 2014, but I figured I would post my review up anyway. This seller on eBay, mac32756, makes excellent quality seats at ridiculous prices for what you get. Only has one picture and doesn’t show it mounted on a seat pan, but this product is very high quality. Glad I accidentally stumbled upon this product.

Good to know, thanks for posting. My seat is 30+ years old and eventually I'll have to recover it.
The image you attached is very blurred. Can you add a link to that seller's listing?

        His E-Bay site.
As stated in his ad these are NOT oem replica covers.
I design and custom hand make motorcycle seat covers for older Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha and Harley Davidson Aeramacchi. I also sell custom hand made snowmobile seat covers for Polaris. All my seat covers are made in the USA!

Thanks guys. Wow, that is inexpensive! I wonder if this guy will have any problems covering a Corbin seat from the 80's.

Oops, yes I should have clarified in my original posting, not replica covers, but will fit your existing foam very well. Also has some upholstery foam pleats sewn in that make it look like it would be very plush to ride on (winter in Iowa = zero ride time).

R2R, does that seat cover fit a G or GL?

He lists it for '82 - '83 GS850G and 1100G, but you have an '82 GL, and I've noticed that many eBay sellers don't know the difference.

If it's not for a G, he's located in Harrisburg, IL -- might be a nice little road trip this summer, visit Mom in Southern Indiana...

I intentionally purchased a G seat cover, as I am shaving down my foam to more closely resemble a G seat.

                  Thanks for the clarification!

I ordered one for my G, and I'll report back when I get it.

I replaced the seat cover on my '83 GS850G eleven years ago with one from motorcycleseatcovers.com (which cost nearly $100 with shipping), and I have never been 100% happy with it -- they used a basketweave pattern material that looked great, but turned out to be perforated. Totally inappropriate stuff for a motorcycle seat unless you never ride outdoors.

Anyway, it's starting to crack along the perforations (shocking, eh?) and so this popped up just in time.

Here's the seat foam before the cover went back on -- I added an insert made from Sargent's SuperCell foam, then re-sculpted it back to the original shape. I don't think you can still get this foam from Sargent. The seat is still very comfortable, but the cover is cracking. Crikey, this was back when we still had carpet in the living room...

Just for reference, here's the original factory seat cover. The aftermarket ones look totally different, but I'm not at all bothered by that.
