        Hi , hikermikem , I have a tank that was sealed by a shop with another sealer kbs I think , and its not sealed, well por15 go over it and seal ???

          Best to talk directly to the folks at POR, but the product directions state it must applied on clean, dry, etched, bare metal...

          Several members here have had similar issues with failed tank liners (usually incorrectly applied by PO's) and have had to remove them. A real PITA, using chemicals (MEK, acetone, phosphoric acid) to soften the liner so it can be removed piece by piece.

              POR-15 has fallen out of favor with me and Eastwood rust encapsulator has replaced it for my use, at least for exterior surfaces. With my truck, landscape trailer and farm equipment I have seen POR-15 not live up to expectations. And before you say it's the application method, I'm ASE Master Paint cert'd and have followed POR's instructions to the letter.
