Is this Vance and Hines full exhaust gs750 repairable, or trash?

Hey, I bought a gs750 parts bike that has been sitting outside many years, with the intent to take it apart, learn a little, and sell the big parts. This exhaust is in very rough shape, but it would be sad to throw it away since they look like they're $500ish new. I didn't want to weld repair the hole, as I think they could change the sound it's meant to have? Maybe I should just sell the slipon and scrap the rest? Thanks in advance, pictures attached.

You might sandblast it, fix the hole by welding it and grinding it smooth, or if it isn't too bad fix it with JB Weld then spray it all black.

Since I'm not a professional I don't want to try and "hide" the damage, so do you think before and after pictures is plenty transparent?

Sandblast, patch welded on, repaint. I don't think you need before photos when selling. Simply state that a hole was welded up with the pach as shown.

That's the way my V&H was when it came attached to my 11E. At some point, the header chrome has just gone too far and the P.O. took a rattle can and gave it the Rolling Stones treatment. He left the megaphone silver, and that look has become quite popular.

2016 XL883L sigpic Two-tone blue and white. Almost 42 hp! Status: destroyed, now owned by the insurance company. The hole in my memory starts an hour before the accident and ends 24 hours after.

I say repair it. Correct me if I'm wrong. But I don't think V&H makes these anymore.

Yeah I'm not sure if they make it anymore, either way it would feel like a huge waste to only sell the slipon part.
