Anyone recognize this handy work?
Anyone recognize this handy work? I bought a 1980 gs1100e in Northeast Philadelphia about 10 years ago. I'm just now noticing that someone with machining abilities made some pretty cool add-ons to the bike that I thought were from the factory. Fork brace over the fender, handlebar risers, foot peg mounts and rear brake pedal were all hand made. The bike also had a name engraved on the engine, I believe it reads "J Piontek". I'm assuming it had engine work done in some form. It was factory painted red but got painted black at some point in its life. I know it a long shot but I feel this bike has a cool history. Any ideas?

Maybe he thought it was a Pontiac and was dyslexic? Facebook has turned up names for me, for example I found the painter of my Norton gas and oil tanks which he signed on the back. That's an unusual name so maybe try James/John/Jasper etc.Tom

Pretty sure the fork brace and bar risers are aftermarket items.
I've seen them before.
The brake pedal looks "made" though.
No idea on the name , Most tuners usually put their sig on the head as that's where most of the work goes when tuning.Mikuni Viton Choke Plunger Seat Renewal.
