Yep, for me riding is a completely different experience 40 yrs ago, at 29, than today at 69. Yes back then, and if i's in my 20's again, HP was everything. The GSX1400 and B-King are both awesome, but it's doubtful that many people would have cross-shopped the two when new. They're very different machines for very different riders. For me, had the 1400 been available here I'd likely have had a couple by now... they'd have been cool to own alongside the two B-Kings that have passed through my garage.2005 Suzuki Hayabusa

The 1400 is too new to import (25 years old minimum) unless it's exhaust is stamped with the EPA compliance. In Canada, it's 15 years.1978 GS 1000 (since new)

Sorry can't be of any help with your actual question, but I will say that if they DID sell one of these bikes stateside, I'd say I'd already own one! Love the Big Bore Suzukis, my current "fix" is my naked 2002 Bandit 1200.Previous GS fleet: '78 1000C, '79 750E, '81 650G, '82 1100G, '81 1100E
Other rides: '77 XS500C, '78 XS1100E
