    It's been awhile

Hey gang. Right now I'm sitting at home with a broken femur. No, not from a crash. From slipping on snow while walking my dogs. Don't ask.
If you remember I have a 83 GS750E , the beautiful maroon one, that I kinda restored and got running. I truly love the bike but might be going in a new direction.
Track days and hard dirt riding are now in my past and I'm looking at taking up Kart racing. To help finance this adventure I'm thinking about selling the GS.
It's really clean but by no means a perfect restoration. Everything is there including the original black chrome pipes. Carbs and calipers and master cylinders have all been rebuilt. Stainless steel brake lines and anti dive has been bypassed. I have brand new Cogent springs that will go with it.
New chain and sprockets. Will get brand new tires this spring. Runs good but needs a little fine tuning.
My question is this. What is the value of this ? Its got approximately 45k miles on it

I'm going to try to post a picture.

    Mad

Broke femur in the snow??? Chase Elliott just broke his femur in the snow... Ya'll need to stay out of that white powder (snow). Nice looking bike, but I have no clue what it's worth here in TN nor in CA. Good luck with your leg and new endeavors.

I've had my '83 GS750ES since new. I built it out of the crate. I will never sell it. I will be passing it on to my son. Everyone I know that has sold theirs regrets it, and never finds another one. There aren't many around. Mine is the Silver/Blue color. I can't tell you the price, I'd say around $3400 on the high side, but don't low ball it. There's someone out there that will buy it, and that's the guy you negotiate with. There just isn't any other bike than handle and do what these bikes can do. They are not a common bike. Best of luck. I'd look for another way to finance the Kart project. I own 3 motorcycles, and they are all keepers, all different brands, but all keepers. IMHO
