GS550ET Tacho : NS “Stamp” on bottom

    Hey There,

Any chance anyone understands the use of the stamp on bottom of the tacho for a GS550ET 1979/80 ?

I see lots of options for items on EBay which look correct but the Part No/ Stamp doesn’t match.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks!

Is that a cable driven tacho and any chance of a picture?

I saw one tach on ebay with a NSxxxxxx stamped on the bottom. No clue what the NS is about, but suspect it's a code used by the manufacturer when they build the tach. Suppliers rarely use the same PN as the customer.

Added a link to an item on EBAY. I think the NS means Nippon Seiki

The stamp on the bottom of the tachometer for the GS550ET can indicate specific manufacturing details or part numbers that may differ between models or production runs. It's not uncommon to see variations in part numbers, especially with aftermarket or replacement parts.
